Server: Particle replacement

Due to a ongoing issue with software on our Particle server we have decided to temporarely suspend all services on this machine. Tomorrow morning we will replace the entire server machine by a new one. The complete backup of today will be restored. Changes made to the server from later today might be lost during this process.

To compensate the affected customers we will add a week free hosting to their accounts.

Big interruption in the dutch Internet (NIKHEF datacenter)

Due to a power failure at about 21:03 GMT+1 the datacenter NIKHEF and the backbones that run through it went down. For the lenght of about 1.5 hours most of our servers were unresponsive to many of our customers. We want to point out that there was absolutely nothing we could do to prevent this from happening and we did the best we could to provide our customers with support via MSN or telephone.

Morpheus - unscheduled maintenance

Due to a triggered heat detection, our server Morpheus shut down last night. As this report is written a repair crew is en-route to the datacenter to review and resolve the problem after thorough inspection. The server is expected to be online before the evening.
