V.P.S. stands for a Virtual Private Server. In short a VPS is a shared Dedicated server.
You have your own operating system, own diskspace, own dedicated RAM memory, but you share the CPU with other users.
This saves you money because you dont use the CPU 100% of the time, it also saves money because maintenance is a lot easier and less complex than numerous seperate dedicated hardware platforms. Allowing us to sell these servers for way less than Dedicated Server providers.


- What platform do you use?
We use Citrix XEN software to run, monitor and maintain our VPS servers, based on Supermicro, Intel Xeon and HP hardware platforms.
Unlike VMWare, XEN does NOT allow for memory overbooking, guaranteeing OS and application preformance, you get a true 'bang for your buck'.
